Notifications Showing End Date as 31/12/4712 for Recurring Payments
Hello,
We have observed a change in behavior for TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility) notifications related to recurring payments.
Previously, for recurring allowances, the notification displayed:
- Start Date: populated
- End Date: blank (no end date for recurring payments)
- Frequency: Recurring
However, we are now seeing that these notifications are automatically showing an End Date of 31/12/4712, even when the payment is configured as recurring.
From a business perspective, this is incorrect, as recurring payments should not display an end date in the notification.
Questions:
- Is this standard system behavior in Oracle (e.g., using 31/12/4712 as a default “end of time” date)?
