Unable to Modify PER_CONTRACT_LEG_DDF Field

We are currently working on a configuration activity that requires modifying several flexfields. However, we are experiencing an issue when attempting to modify the "PER_CONTRACT_LEG_DDF" flexfield and are unable to identify the root cause.

ISSUE:
Flexfield in question: PER_CONTRACT_LEG_DDF
Action: Attempted modification of field values
Result: Unable to apply the changes
