Summary: How to retain oracle roles for terminated employee?

We are changing the legal employer for a bunch of employees (say 100+). So we are terminating them from LE-1 and will rehire in LE-2. When we are terminating from LE-1, the roles- both standard and custom roles (which were assigned manually & not through any auto-provisioning rules) are getting removed. How can we avoid this role removal else it becomes an extra work for manually assigning the roles again.
