Inquiry on Bulk Deployment of Approval Rule Changes

We have a requirement to update approximately 65 approval rules in Oracle and would like to understand if there is a supported approach to deploy these changes in bulk rather than updating them manually.
Additionally, we would like to know if there are any prerequisites or precautions to be followed before modifying approval rules, such as pausing scheduled jobs, workflows, or background processes to avoid any impact on transactions.
