Oracle Fusion MFA Enforcement — PROD options for automation/service accounts

Hello Everyone,

We are reviewing the upcoming Oracle-enforced MFA change for Fusion Applications after OCI IAM migration.

Oracle documentation appears to state that MFA exclusion for automation users is available only for non-production environments. The documented wording says that for user accounts created for automation in non-production environments only, we can optionally configure them to skip MFA enforcement.

We have a question regarding PROD service accounts and automation users.

In our PROD Fusion environment, we have non-interactive service accounts used by integrations, OAC connections, scheduled jobs, and system-to-system processes. These accounts currently authenticate using username/password and cannot complete MFA enrolment or MFA challenges like normal human users.
