6/28 COD Release Rejections for Grad PLUS

Oracle received the following email from our ED contact at the Federal Student Aid Office of Institutions of Higher Education Program Management.

There has been some chatter on FSA Tech around these changes, we are currently working on a response to post shortly, but I wanted to send a reminder out in case you all are getting calls on this. There are no issues that we have found with how the updates were implemented.

As a reminder, COD re-evaluates the exception each time a new/updated loan is received. While we are not rejecting loan originations simply because a school does not report the new enrollment status effective date at this time, if it’s not reported, COD is assuming the student is not eligible for the exception if the loans EDD (and/or Award begin date for Grad PLUS) is after 7/1/26. In all of the examples that I have been looking at, the EDD and/or Award begin dates for the loans being submitted were after 7/1/26 and the schools were not reporting the enrollment status
