Withholding Tax Determination Based on AP Invoice Distribution /Line GL Account

Summary:

We have a business requirement where the applicable Withholding Tax (WHT) should be determined based on the GL Account entered on the AP Invoice distribution line.

We attempted to configure this using the following Tax Determining Factor:

• Determining Factor Class: Accounting
• Determining Factor Name: Line Account

However, the withholding tax is not being derived based on the selected GL account.

For example:

• If the invoice distribution GL account is 600100, the system should apply WHT Code A.
• If the invoice distribution GL account is 600200, the system should apply WHT Code B.

Our objective is for the withholding tax to be derived automatically during tax calculation based on the expense account selected on the invoice distribution, rather than relying on supplier defaults or other determining factors.
