What does "Payroll Activity Center Upgrade Payroll Results" process do?

As part of Redwood Payroll Activity Center implementation, "Payroll Activity Center Upgrade Payroll Results" needs to be run. What does this process do?

Does it populate data from pay_run_results in any other table or updates the data in this table itself?

If for any reason, payroll activity center profile is turned off, does it need to be run again?
