FCCS – Clarification on Entity Hierarchy Changes with Ownership Enabled and ORG by Period Disabled
We have the following requirement in Oracle FCCS:
- Ownership Management: Enabled
- ORG by Period: Disabled
Currently, the entity structure is:
Group1
├── ABA
└── ABC (Stored Base Entity)
We need to create a new base entity XYZ that should report to ABC. Since a base entity cannot have child entities, we are planning the following hierarchy (refer to the attached screenshot):
Group1
├── ABA
├── ABC (Stored)
└── ABC_1 (New Parent)
├── ABC (Shared Member)
└── XYZ_1 (New Parent)
└── XYZ
We also plan to configure Ownership Management as follows:
- ABC (Shared Member) – Active
- ABC (Stored Member) – Inactive
We would like clarification on the following:
- Can this hierarchy change be implemented without enabling ORG by Period?
