Is it feasible to change payroll name under empl

Summary:

 Is it feasible to change payroll name under employee payroll relationship page in middle of the year. If so, how would HMRC will take this transaction.

One LE with two TRU/Payroll definition.

Could you please suggest recommended approach for this scenario (Inter company transfer).

Customer has one LE - VM Ltd.with below 2 TRU it means separate PAYE Reference.

Payroll definition/TRU - VM

Payroll definition/TRU - VMBL

Now, customer would like to do inter company transfer from one Payroll definition/TRU to another without termination of employee.  Customer don't want to terminate the employee as it gives negative impression about company as it is under same LE, they want to transfer another TRU. Please share your inputs.
