Is there a character count limitation on EL expressions?

Summary:

We are trying to add more roles to our EL expression for My Client Groups, but it seems like there is a character limitation that is causing it to error out when trying to add more. We had to create EL expressions here so people with only line manager access can't see My Workforce. Any assistance is appreciated.
