business title to match job title and position at same time

In our case we have some entities who wants the business title to match job title and others to match position, since not all entities use positions.

How can we do that ? we've tried the profile value option ORA_PER_EMPL_DEFAULT_BUSINESS_TITLE_FROM but when we set it to match only position, for entities who are not using positions the business title gets the assignment number when they choose the job, which is standard behavior but at the same time weird why is the business title taking the assingment number value ?

Is there a solution to have both options ? business title to to match position for some entities and job for others ?
