How to terminate stuck return approval transaction and re-do returning via Transaction console

In Transaction console, there is an option to terminate the workflow approval process that is stuck in "Failed" status. We are doing this action on "Receiving Receipt Return" process.

Once the process is successfully terminated, is there a way to go back and create return for the same receipt from Inventory Management > Return Receipt page? We are unable to fetch the same Receipt which was used earlier and terminated in the return process flow. Any inputs?

In the above screenshot, we created a return receipt on Receipt#62. However the process got stuck in failed status in Transaction Console. We terminated the process and eventually, we are unable to re-do the Return receipt on the same Receipt again.
