EDMCS Subscription and Derived Hierarchy Requirement
Summary:
We have a Common Model (Source Viewpoint) that contains two hierarchies:
- All Departments
- Segment Departments
We have multiple target viewpoints (non-EPM viewpoints - Anaplan & MRDH), and subscriptions are enabled from the source viewpoint.
Requirement
When a user creates a new leaf-level node under All Departments in the Common Model, the node should automatically be created in the target viewpoint under:
- All Departments hierarchy, and
- Segment Departments hierarchy
The placement under Segment Departments should be determined based on the Department Type (INS, REI, or CLC).
Current Configuration
- Subscription is enabled from the source viewpoint.
- We implemented derived logic using Node Type Converters to determine the appropriate parent in the target viewpoint based on the Department Type.
