Can return to supplier and/or receipt correction transaction reverse the cost of an item using WAC
Summary:
Client has the below scenario which occurs frequently in their everyday operations.
- Purchase Order exists for an item for 10 quantity at $10 each.
- User receives all 10 quantities against the PO
- Cost of the item is calculated as $10 each, inventory valuation = $100
- User wants to change the price of the PO to be $15 each and performs a return to supplier and/or receipt correction transaction
- User expects the cost of the item (initial $10) to be reversed as a result of the return to supplier and/or receipt correction transaction
The client was previously on Oracle EBS and have now transitioned into Oracle Fusion Cloud. They are utilizing a weighted average cost method.
