Can we get Journals Period Status (Open/Close) using Rest API/Groovy in FCCS

Summary:

We have a requirement where users should not enter data in forms for closed periods.

If it is possible to retrieve the Journal Period status (Open/Close) in FCCS using a REST API through Groovy, we can use that status within a Groovy rule to make the form read-only for the corresponding Year and Period.
