File based EPM Data Integration using UTF-16 LE encoding format

We are creating a file-based data integration in FCCS using .dat file with semicolon delimiter extracted from a third-party application. The source file is required to be in UTF-16 LE encoding.

I have configured UTF-16 LE encoding format while creating the integration and also changed the File Character Set to UTF-16 LE in the system settings.

However, if I reopen the integration or run the integration, the encoding format is automatically updated back to UTF-8.

Could you please help us identify the reason why the encoding setting is not being retained and suggest on hoe we can resolve the issue ?
