Approval task visible without privilege

Hi,

I’m trying to understand the security behavior of the Approval Area in Oracle Fusion HCM.

We have custom HR roles with the PER_APPROVE_TRANSACTIONS_PRIV privilege, and these users can correctly access the approval functionality under Tools.

However, the same approval task is also visible to users with only the standard Employee role, even though this role does not have PER_APPROVE_TRANSACTIONS_PRIV.

My questions are:

• What actually controls the visibility of the Approval Area/task?
• Is PER_APPROVE_TRANSACTIONS_PRIV only related to the ability to approve, rather than to task visibility?
• How can we make the Approval Area visible
