How to Default the Capitalizable Checkbox to Unchecked for New Tasks in Oracle Fusion PPM

Hi All,

I have a requirement in Oracle Fusion Project Management related to the Capitalizable checkbox at the project task level.

Currently, we have enabled Capitalization at the Project Type level because the project type needs to support capital projects.

However, when we create a new task under a capital project, the Capitalizable checkbox is automatically selected.

Our requirement is:

  • Capitalization should remain enabled at the Project Type level.
  • The project should continue to be treated as a capital project.
  • However, when a new task is created, we would like the Capitalizable checkbox to default to unchecked (No).
  • Users should be able to select the Capitalizable checkbox manually only for those tasks that should actually be capitalizable.
