Catalog Administration Profile – Assign By Option Visible to Non-Contributors

Summary:

We noticed the following behavior for Local Learning Specialists who are not contributors to the CAP associated with the event:

• From the 3-dot (...) menu on the Event page, the Assign Learning option is available. The user can proceed with the assignment and receives an error at the end.
• The Local Learning Specialist is also able to Cancel the event even though they are not a contributor to the associated CAP.

Should these options be available to a user who is not a contributor to the event's CAP?

If not, is there a security configuration to remove these options and avoid users proceeding with actions that will ultimately fail?
