Learning Assignment – Event Selection

Summary:

On the Learning Assignment Profile page, events associated with a course are not available for selection under the learning item.

Since the course association is optional when creating an event, is there a way to make the event available for selection directly in the Learning Assignment Profile, rather than requiring the course to be selected?

We are aware that assignments can be made at the event level through other options; our question is specifically regarding Learning Assignment Profiles.
