State LOV - Display State Code Only Instead of Full State Name

in Human Capital Management

Summary:

We have a requirement where the State field for some country addresses should be selected from an LOV.

Currently, after defining the geography validation, the LOV displays the full geography name and also includes alternative names/translations (Example from customer address).

Our requirement is to display and store only the state code values without the extra names.

Is there a supported way to:

  1. Configure the State geography LOV to display the geography code/short name rather than the primary geography name??
  2. Configure the State field to use a custom Value Set LOV instead of the standard Geography-based LOV?
