Import Unassigned Asset Lines (FBDI) - Partial Allocation

edited 12:58AM in Project Management

In Oracle Fusion PPM, we can perform a partial asset line split/allocation through the UI. For example, from a source asset line amount of 1,000, we can allocate only 300 to another asset and leave the remaining 700 on the original asset line.

However, when using Import Unassigned Asset Lines (FBDI) for the same scenario, the import fails with the error

"You must ensure that the sum of the split asset lines equals the value of the original asset line."

Is this expected behavior by design? Specifically, does FBDI require the split amounts to fully consume 100% of the source asset line amount, unlike the UI which allows partial allocation and retention of the remaining balance on the source asset line? Can someone point me to an Oracle document as reference

Howdy, Stranger!
