Oracle ICM - Handling Target Incentive Updates Without Proration

edited 8:36AM in Incentive Compensation

Summary:

We have a requirement related to effective-dated Target Incentive (TI) records received from HCM.

Following the annual salary planning process, updated TI values are loaded into HCM with an effective date of 01-Dec. Oracle ICM consumes these effective-dated records and uses them during bonus calculations.

The business requirement is to avoid TI proration and have the updated TI applied for the full bonus calculation period beginning 01-Oct.

Example source data:

  • 01-Oct: TI = 10%
  • 01-Dec: TI = 15%

Desired state in ICM:

  • 01-Oct: TI = 15%
  • 01-Dec: TI = 15%

In other words, when the 01-Dec TI record is received, the prior 01-Oct effective-dated TI value should be overridden/replaced so that ICM recognizes a single stable TI value from 01-Oct onward and does not generate prorated results based on multiple TI records.

Howdy, Stranger!
