List Groups REST and Download File REST - Specifically for EDM

Summary:

(1) We are trying to use the REST endpoints for List Groups v1 (/interop/rest/security/v1/groups/list), and it returns the output directly in the response as per API, however we would like to know if this generates a file in EDM Staging Area and could we download using EDM Staging? Please Confirm

(2) Download file (/interop/rest/11.1.2.3.600/applicationsnapshots/{applicationSnapshotName}/contents) does not display the contents of the file such as generated User Group report (/interop/rest/security//usergroupreport) whereas we are able to download from EDM Staging Area. Please confirm if this API to display the contents is not applicable for EDM and applies only for other EPM Suite of Products
