How to record Marital Status history before Hire Date?
Hi everyone,
we have a tax-related requirement to record an employee's marital status history prior to their employment with the company.
For example:
- Married from 20-09-2009
- Legally Separated from 27-09-2023
- Hire Date 16-10-2023
The employee was therefore already legally separated when hired, but we need to retain the historical record showing that she was married in 2009 and subsequently became legally separated, both events occurring before her employment with the company.
However, HCM does not seem to allow us to enter a Marital Status effective date earlier than the Hire Date.
Is there any supported way to create these historical Marital Status records with effective dates before the employee's Hire Date, either through the UI, HDL, or another process?
