Transferring Backups to Object storage

Hi Team,

If we need to onboard a legacy database with backups size approximately 500 GB that must be transferred and made available for restore in OCI, please let us know the recommended approach.

Currently, there is no Site-to-Site VPN connectivity between the source environment and OCI.

As a possible option, we were considering creating an OCI Object Storage bucket and providing a Pre-Authenticated Request (PAR) URL for the source team to upload the backup files directly.

Could you please advise:

Whether this is the recommended approach for a one-time transfer of a 500 GB backup and any limitations or considerations for large backup uploads.
