Onboarding new account PaaS

edited Oct 7, 2026 1:28AM in Database 2 comments

Hi Team,

We are planning to onboard a new account supporting Oracle Fusion. As part of that,we will also have a paas environment.

It will have dev,uat environment and one Production environment, with 3 compute servers and 2 dbcs vm (base DB service) involved.

Since this is a new setup, we want to plan the architecture properly from both a security and operational perspective rather than following the existing design blindly.

During the BOM discussion with the business, what are the key security and safety aspects we should discuss and finalize upfront?

Also, should we use separate VCNs for each environment, such as separate VCNs for UAT and Production, or can we use a common VCN with proper subnet-level isolation?
