Standalone Course Assignment Unexpectedly Assigning Parent Specialization

Hello everyone,

We're seeing unexpected behavior in Oracle Fusion Learning assignments and would appreciate any insight from others who may have encountered something similar.

Scenario

We have a course, which I will refer to as Course A, that is used in two ways:

  1. Course A is assigned directly to a group of learners as a standalone learning assignment.
  2. Course A is also added as a learning activity within an existing specialization. Other learners are assigned the specialization and are expected to complete Course A along with the other learning activities included in that specialization.

The intended setup is therefore:
