Oracle Learning Cloud – Learning Path Assignments and Reporting

We are evaluating how to map our current Courses, Offerings and Activities to the new Oracle Learning model based on Learning Paths, Courses, Events and Self-Paced Learning items.

We would like to clarify the standard system behaviour to define the correct assignment and reporting model.

Questions:

1. Assigning both a Learning Path and its individual learning items

If HR assigns a Course, Event or Self-Paced item directly to a learner and also assigns the Learning Path containing that item:

• Are both the individual learning item and the Learning Path assigned to the learner, generating separate assignment records?
• Does the learner need to complete the same item twice, or can the existing assignment and completion be reused within the Learning Path?
