When will the US Ashburn issue from last night around 10:00 p.m. centraql be fixed?
Our autonomous Database instance (cloud, serverless) has been severely slow since before 8:57 AM (UTC-05:00) on Oct 12, 2026. We restarted the database at 8:57, and the problem continued.
Wait stats since the restart (V$SYSTEM_EVENT):
- enq: CF - contention: 757 waits, average 5,317 ms
- log file sync: 2,393 waits, average 61.4 ms
- free buffer waits: 2,806 waits, average 9.8 ms
At 9:30:23 AM, ASH showed log file sync at 12.0 average active sessions, which was 100% of DB time.
Most affected: SQL_ID 2fhhywmv0xcsx. This is the managed ORDS check against V$PDBS CLOUD_IDENTITY (user ORDS_PLSQL_GATEWAY, program ORDS_ADBS_Managed). It ran 1,769 times at an average of 1,922 ms, almost all of it waiting on enq: CF - contention. Every ORDS/APEX request is delayed by about 2 seconds.
