Can the configuration used for GS1-128 (1D) barcodes also be applied to a 2D barcode configuration?

We currently have GS1-128 working on (1D) barcodes, wondering if we can configure Oracle to be accepting 2D Barcodes. Will GS1-128 standard still work? (Oracle Fusion Cloud - Inventory Management)
