Can We Use a Custom BIP Bursting Report to Send Welcome / Reset Password Emails to Users Email?

Summary:

We have a requirement to send welcome emails to newly provisioned users containing the password reset URL, based on user category.

The challenge is that for some users the work email is not configured in Fusion, so the system’s native welcome email never reaches them.

Can we achieve this using a custom BIP bursting report? And more importantly — is it possible to retrieve the Fusion-generated password reset URL within the report data model so it can be included in the bursted email?

Or is this something that simply cannot be done via BIP?

Any advice or alternative approaches welcome.
