Termination date reverting to todays date when termination reason chosen to Death

Summary:I was processing a termination in oracle HCM in the “Terminate Employment” redwood screen and once I chose the termination reason as Death, the termination date reverted back to today’s date. I was able to re-select the date and then continue processing, but I could see this being easily overlooked.

Is this expected behaviour
