Architectural Guidance DBCS Apex and ORDS

Hi Masi,

For context, our current OCI setup consists of:

1 OCI Load Balancer
1 ORDS server running in standalone mode
1 DBCS instance
A single ORDS pool serving the application

We are preparing a customer presentation and would appreciate your guidance on the following:

If we provision a separate Oracle Database for the new APEX application, what impact will that have on the current design and ongoing development?
Will a new database require any changes to the ORDS URL, ORDS pool configuration, application configuration, or database connection details?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of:
Using the existing DBCS
Provisioning a dedicated DBCS for the new application
