Alerts Composer – Notifications Based on Custom Areas of Responsibility

Summary:

We are creating a Resource Alert to notify HR Representatives when an employee completes a Learning Path.

We are currently using the following recipient expression:

${AlertUtils.hrRepList(learnerLearningRecords.assignedToId).UserName}

This works for employees with the standard Human Resources Representative Area of Responsibility, but we also have custom AOR responsibility types that we would like to include.

Is there a way to configure Alerts Composer to identify recipients based on custom AOR responsibility types?

Ideally, we would like to use the standard HR Representative when available and fall back to a custom AOR when one is not assigned.

Any guidance or examples would be appreciated!
