How to restrict transaction type in Misc Transction Inventory

Hi,

We are having issues with Transaction Type field since the LoV field is open for all transaction type in Misc Transction Inventory. Is it possible to restrict this field by user or IO access? If not, is there a workaround on this, perhaps sandbox options?
