Can we hide a tab in redwood layout without creating a new layout?

I want to hide a Tab in Quote commerce redwood layout for a particular user group

Tried hiding all the attributes in the Tab still the Tab is visible. Only option I can see is cloning the layout for different persona. But that would require a lot of efforts whenever new change comes in on the layout.

Is there any other way?
