Restrict Event Type LOV on Manage Billing Events based on contract line type – supported options?

Hello all,
We have a requirement on the Manage Billing Events page to restrict the Event Type list of values based on the contract line the event is created for.
Requirement
- Each contract line is classified by [line type / contract line DFF – specify], for example [Advance, IPC, Retention].
- When a user creates a billing event for a line, only the event types relevant to that classification should be selectable. For example, only advance-related event types for an Advance line.
What we’ve checked so far
- Standard functionality: event types appear to be global. We found no setup that associates event types with contract lines, line types or contract types.
