The "Avatax" Tax Code is set on the customer record to indicate the customer is taxable via Avalara. However, the main driver for the Avalara Tax Calculation is the Tax Code set on the Item record.

@Renee Bernier, Is the screenshot you provided from an Item Record Sublist, a printed report, or another form? For example, if you want to change the country name on the Address Template, you would need to replace <COUNTRY> with Taiwan.
-
Yes - the EP bundle sometimes gets expired. In most cases, you can update the license expiry date via "Manual License Request": Once the license is updated, you should see the related templates. The EFT Template is used to process Vendor Bill Payments via ACH. The Positive Pay Template is used to validate Customer Checks.…

Hi @Eklon Eleuterio, Yes - you have the correct bundle installed (#464729). It's good that you have installed the NetSuite Licenses SuiteApp, as it helps track various licenses' statuses. You can also use it to request a refresh if the license gets unlinked from your account. Can you check the Status and the End Date of…

There are a few options to fix this: You can export all Time Entries with the exact details, memos, etc., then delete them and re-import them to auto-populate the Billing Classes. You can also do an "Update" CSV import by mapping just the Time Entry internal ID and Employee ID. Sometimes, "touching/refreshing" the record…
-
Hi @Renee Bernier, Could you please share a screenshot of where you are trying to change the country name? The Country name isn't directly editable. We can update the displayed country name on all printed documents or sent emails.
-
Hi @Fabss, The Billing Class cannot be updated directly on the Time Entry record. It typically auto-populates based on selected Employee and/or Service Item. Did you recently change the Billing Classes set on Employee and Service Item records?
-
Hi @User_R3C96, What are the criteria for sending out the email? Does it happen once the Sales Order is approved? You can create a workflow with the "Send Email" action to auto-send emails to the recipient entered in the custom field on the Customer record.
-
Hi @AndyC_2878, The default period filters aren't editable. It takes some to get used to them. Thanks.
-
Hi @Chandanesh, I am not 100% clear what the challenge is. Let's say the Sales Order is for $2000, you generated one invoice from it for $500, and that invoice is partially paid with an applied payment of $300. Are you trying to show the "Amount Remaining to be Invoiced" of $1,500 or something else?
-
Hi @Jake Pangan, Is this a native or custom field? If the user has access to the field, removing it from the form won't impact their ability to see the field value in a Saved Search.
-
Hi @Jenny_LN, The permission that grants access to GL Audit Numbering is the "Setup -> Manage Accounting Periods".
-
@ImeldaSanchez - I looked at using custom records as list values and couldn't restrict the drop-down list values by departments. The workflow option seems to be the best one.
-
No worries - I am glad to help, Greg, Avalara taxes are calculated based on Avalara Tax Codes assigned to Items. For example: Many companies I worked with needed only a few Avalara (e.g., for Services, SaaS Items, Hardware) Tax Codes for all of their items. Once the Avalara Tax Code (and other components, such as Ship-To…
-
That makes sense. In my view, the best is to map Avalara Tax Codes from SF to NetSuite items and let the tax re-calculate in NetSuite. You can set up the integration so that the NetSuite calculation doesn't impact the actual tax in Avalara Production. The benefit would be that you won't need to add an additional line to…
-
Thanks for the clarification, @greg.hillPVG, When you are calculating the tax in SF, do you also run your tax reports from there? Is the main reason to bring the tax to NetSuite to show it on the invoice? Thanks.
-
Hi @Elizabeth Vance, You can configure NetSuite to make the class appear on all GL transactions. Or, you can configure it for the Class to appear on all P&L GL Accounts, which is a more preferred option. Is this what you are trying to achieve? Also, do you have the Class as a required field on some transactions and not…
-
Hi @greg.hillPVG, Is there a reason you didn't use Avalara Tax Codes for each item, so the tax is calculated for each sales line and not added as a separate line?
-
Hi @ImeldaSanchez, If both Sales and Marketing departments have access to that field, you won't be able to filter the field values based on the department. There might be an option if you use a Custom Record as list values, but I need to spend some time to see if that can be done. I won't recommend creating two fields, as…
-
Thanks for the clarification, @User_NG5TG, If you also need to see line-level information, then you would need to run two separate reports or do a customization to bring them into one report. Sales Order and Opportunity are linked via Header, and Sales Order and PO are linked via Line. With Opportunity search, we can get…
-
Thanks for the additional information, @User_K4DIS, Could you please check the "Accounting" subtab of your Sales Order and see if the Subtotal amount matches the Est. Gross Profit? If yes, you can use that field to get the Subtotal.
-
Thanks for providing additional information, @User_5BYJA, What you see is the standard behavior and works as designed. With your configuration, NetSuite will consume a quantity of 1 every time you generate an invoice. If you created the Sales Order as 5 qty * rate 10,000 = 50,000, then each invoice will be for 1 qty:
-
Ah - I see where the confusion is. The "Calculate Est. Landed Cost" on the PO line is a checkbox. Perhaps you created the Item Receipt without checking that checkbox, which is why it is grayed out and cannot be selected. Or, the Templates were assigned to Items after the PO was generated.
-
You are welcome, @User_E15G4!
-
Thanks for the screenshots, @User_E15G4, I noticed the "Cost Allocation Method" field is blank under the Landed Cost tab in the Item Receipt. Could you please edit the Item Receipt, choose a "Cost Allocation Method," and see if that helps to get the estimated cost? Thanks.
-
Yes, @Vasya_3 - your summary is accurate, with only one correction. I won't call #1 the best option. It is the native option, but because it is manual, I prefer the other/automated options more.
-
Yes - if you want to ensure only the required fields are updated, the Leading Practice is to uncheck the "Run Server SuiteScript and Trigger Workflows" checkbox during the CSV import.
-
Sometimes, the Custom Role is inadvertently modified, causing issues. Or, the folder that is hosting the files may have been modified with elevated restrictions. Do you know if the issue happens for specific users with all files (e.g., attached from the File Cabinet, from Email, from Computer Desktop, etc.) and records…
-
Hi @Varonis inc., Do you have open invoices with a mismatch between the "Transaction Date" and "Accounting Period"? If yes, that might cause the issue with the custom AR Aging Report run with specific filters.
-
It may indicate what is causing the problem. For example, I have seen logs with "Access Permission", "The File Cannot be Accessed" and other similar error messages.
