Tracking External Training

Hello all,
Within one of our Business Units we have a number of external training vendors/partners were our employees to go consume training content. Some examples are Lynda.com, Innerworkings, Oxford Princeton, and Industrial Logic. In many cases we would like to create learning plans that incorporate the various training activities for a given role (i.e. Java Developer) but are finding it a challenge to capture these activities that include external training items (i.e. tasks, online documents to read, on-line courses, etc).
Has anyone in a similar situation willing to share how they have leverage the learning center to maximize this process?
