External Free Courses and Tracking Options

Is anyone out there using any type of free course offerings to supliment existing vendor or interally supplied training?  If so, what are you using (e.g., Coursera, Open Culture) and how are you advising users to track it in the LMS?  We are heading down the road of opening up the LMS from a small audience to a more corporate wide audience and I'm interested in hearing about your experiences and lessons learned.
