Employee & Multi-Rater due dates

I'm new to using the Perform system and am going to be setting up reviews to be done in the next few days so I created a 'test' review with a Due Date of 1/30/13 in the Review Template. Next I went into the template's Properties and set up the default due dates for Employee Assessments and Multi-Rater as 7 days prior to the Review Date.
I expected this to make the due date for the manager to conduct the review with the employee as 1/30/13, and the due date for the employee and multi-raters to complete their reviews as 1/23/13. However, when the employee logs into the system their employee self assessment due date is showing as 1/30/13.
