Is there a top level of count of records when working with dynamic criteria

Howdy all,

So we have a rootLC that has about 24k members. Today, I attempted to build a new group based on the criteria of a custom field. The count of records that should have come back was about 15-16k.....in the end not only did the criteria not come back with a preview, but it seemed as if the actual query failed....we are working with a consultant that is helping us build out our rootLC instance and the bottom line is that HE also had the same issue.

So...is there a top level of count of records you should work with when working with dynamic criteria to build a group?
