Communication Messages - backend access?

Is there some place in the backend of the system where I can see/confirm that communication messages are getting sent? I have a message set up to go out when a LP has been assigned. It was working just fine and then suddenly, the emails no longer are going out (or at least they are not being received). I'm hoping it's just a glitch with the system sending them so I'd like to confirm that the messages are queued somewhere and will eventually go through.
