Reporting Questions

Hello all,
I have two unique questions. I am working with old data that was inherited with this system, and trying to save some time and headache.
Our users rely on their My Training pages to see their progress and completions. I have courses that are old that I do not want to show up on reports any longer because these courses are expired. I have many admins pulling reports from this system, and I feel that this data needs to be clean and accurate so that there is no queston about the reporting data.
Question: If I unpublish a course, will it stop showing up on reports BUT remain as complete with a certificate on the My Training pages?
