Push/Pull method an "enrollment" via a learning plan?

Good morning Knowledge Exchange Gurus!

We are hunting for an ideal method that would leverage the Learning Plan Dynamic Object to essentially:

• Have the user assign themselves to an LP (we know how to do that) via a LearnCenter page.
• In turn this would directly assign them to a series of enrollments.
• Unfortunately the series of enrollments do not have a recurrence pattern.

Any suggestions? Is this even possible? For now it seems that mapping an enrollment to an LP does not fully assign the enrollment to a user.
