Understanding of Oracle Fusion GL Structure compared to JD Edwards GL Structure

edited Jan 30, 2019 4:30PM in General Ledger & Intercompany 5 comments

Summary

Is there a document that can parellel the GL terminology and functionality from JDE GL to Fusion GL.

Content

I'm working in setting up an Oracle Fusion GL structure and have all the terminology down in what the building blocks are, however I'm struggling with what to use in order to get a reporting structure that I'm familiar with in JD Edwards.  For example:

I understand the Fusion Legal Entity, Balancing Segment Value, Business Unit, Account.  If I have it right the BSV is essentially a company for which there can be 1 or more in a Legal entity.  The Business Unit defines activities and rules for transactions, and an account is just that.

Howdy, Stranger!
