Gmail for LearnCenter Communication

Does anyone know if a gmail plugin is coming for LearnCenter communication?

Hi All, 

We are implementing Learn here and our company solely uses gmail -- we recently learned that there is not a way to plug learn communication out to external users using gmail (only options are Outlook and Lotus?) 

Is anyone aware if a gmail option is in the works?

This was disappointing news to us, as the "internal communication" doesn't feel like it will be as effective.
