values and how to "close out" a goal, even if someone didn't meet the metric, etc.

values and how to "close out" a goal, even if someone didn't meet the metric, etc.

Is there any way to add a field to the Goals Page Layout that we can use to enter a value?  For example, our Sales Operations Team Conversion Rate Goal could be 40% but someone may be at 56%. I would mark that goal as 100% complete but want to add the value for  reference. Or should I be using the Measurement field for this?

Also what do we do when someone does not meet one of these goals? For instance, if someone is  38% on conversion (did not reach the 40%) then I can’t mark that goal as complete. It will always stay as “in progress” but we need to close it out as the month is closed and there is no way to go back at that point to complete the goal.

Howdy, Stranger!
